Ward 10 trounced Ward 18 by 37 runs in day of ongoing Mayor Cup 2010. Cricket Tournament being played at cricket stadium, Housing Board on Thursday. In-second match Ward 9 edged out Ward 11 by 2 wicket sand Ward 14 dispatched Ward 13 only by 1 run in the third match of the day.
In the frst match Ward 18 won the toss and opted to field first. Ward 10 accumulated 150 runs in the stipulated 12 overs. 'Chasing 151 runs to win, Ward 18 suffered a dramatic batting collapse to perish for 113 runs in 12 overs. Madan (Ward 10) was declared man of the Match, who scored 102 runs off .42 balls by Hittites and) IG fours. I enther match between Ward 9 and Ward ll, batting first Ward 11 made 101 runs in 12 overs. Harish(4O) and Pappu (20) were the not able contributors. In reply Ward 9 overhauled' the target in 12 overs losing 8 wickets in the process. Raju was the top scorer with 26 runs off 10 balls and was adjudged man of the match. The third and last match of the 'day played between Ward 13 and Ward 14 was very interesting. Ward 14 made 138 runs in allotted 12 overs Pappu played a in knock of 40 runs (whereas Kuvaljeet scored 42 runs. Ward 13 started out in a closed margin for 137 runs 'in 12 over Shashikant (50 runs in 211-ba11s) waged a lone battle against disciplined bowling performance by Ward .14 bowlers. The man of the match was Pappu (Ward 14).
