The dismal situation prevalent in the field of pure Science as our present system does not attract the best brains for this field were the words articulated by K Dr SK Pandey (Vice Chancellor, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur) who graced the two day National Symposium on “New Horizons in 'Physics & Electronics” as chief guest. The symposium was organised under the auspices of the Dept. of Physics &, Electronics, St. Thomas College, Rubandha.
Dr BP Chandra, former Vice Chancellor (RVU) gave a detailed nificant development in Physics and Electronics, stressing upon luminescence induced by elastic deformation of nano particles; On ,the first day experts who gave invited talks included Dr RC Agarwal (RVU, Raipur) (Solid State lonics), Dr Pragyesh Agrawal, St. Aloysius, J abalpur (Scopes &. Applications in Nano Electronics), Dr. SJ Dhoble, Nagpur University (Nano Opto Electronic Materials) Dr Prafull Jha, Bhavnagar University (Nano. Physics), Pragyan Chakravorty and B Keshav Rao presented papers on Electromagnetic `materials nomena in Nano lonic Electrolytes respectively.
The talks were followed by al lively discussion session in Which the students participated actively and enthusiastically. e Symposium is being organized with the objective of providing a platform for the students and to become aware of the latest developments' in Physics ' & Electronics. About 250. delegates are participating in the symposium. Bhavana Karketta, Nisha T hakur and Jhalak Naidu conducted the lecture. Prakash Swain proposed the vote of thanks.
